Abstract

A method of analyzing the steady-state processes in low-frequency cycloconverters is described. Both the discontinuous and continuous load current cases are analyzed. The equations of the commutation processes and the output characteristics of the cycloconverters are obtained. The general approach for the cycloconverter analysis is formulated.
