Abstract
A strong dependence of the scattering cross section on molecular orientation was observed when 6.324-MeV photons were scattered from N15 in the form of Na15NO3 single crystal. This is caused by the different velocities of the N atom corresponding to the various directions of the zero-point molecular vibrations.
