STUDY OF ELECTRORESISTIVITY OF EUROPIUM METAL NEAR THE NEEL POINT.

Research output: Contribution to conferencePaperpeer-review

Abstract

It has been shown that the order parameter undergoes a jump in the Neel point and hence the phase transition in Eu is of the first order. Both this fact and a bcc lattice of europium (most of REM are hexagonal) account for the peculiar features of Eu as compared with other REM. The purpose of the investigation was to study in detail the electroresistivity anomaly near T//N and also to analyse the magnetic field effect on electroresistivity of europium in the antiferromagnetic state.
