Abstract

The dynamic properties of Ethyl-cyanoacrylate adhesive up to 6.5 GPa were studied in plate impact experiments on cast Ethyl-cyanoacrylate windows. Optical correction, shock, and sound velocities were measured. The shock velocity data obey a linear relationship us= 2.33+1.63up. Ethyl-cyanoacrylate shows similar shock velocities to polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), while its sound velocity is lower.
