Abstract

By assuming the existence of a second octet with J^P = 3 2^- whose couplings are related via SU(6)_W × O(3) to those of the established 3 2^- "nonet", we reconcile recent measurements on the Σ(1385)π decay modes of the D₀₃KN resonances with their other partial widths. The predicted properties of the third as yet unobserved D₀₃ state raise important questions regarding the measurement of resonant parameters.
