Subpicosecond lifetimes by infrared line broadening measurements

Abstract

Correlation times computed from collision-induced spectra of rare gases, hydrogen, and CO2 are presented and compared to duration of collision times. It is suggested that ir line broadening could be used for the estimation of lifetimes of species of chemical interest.
