Abstract
A study of the incommensurate phase of the channel thiourea-hexachloroethane inclusion compound by means of 35Cl NQR, in the temperature range from 68 to 88 K, is presented. Hahn echo measurements indicate the slow diffusion-like motion of the modulation wave. This motion is obtained close to the transition temperature Ti to approximately 90 K. At higher temperatures, the NQR spectrum is not observed. We attribute this fact to the reorientational mobility of C2Cl6 molecules in the host sublattice, probably accompanied by an order-disorder phase transition.
