Abstract
A review is presented of 44 cases of spinal meningioma. Analyses of the data collected indicated that early diagnosis may prevent irreversible neurological deficit and enhances the change for full recovery after operation. The results obtained in elderly patients were very encouraging. The difficulties involved in making a correct early diagnosis are stressed. The finding of scoliosis in 40% of the patients is noteworthy.
