Abstract
Dark violet crystals of trans-[CpMn(CO)2]2(μ-Ph2Te2) 2 were obtained by a photochemical reaction Of CpMn(CO)3 with Ph2Te2in tetrahydrofuran or heptane at 20°C. Based on X-ray structural data, in this compound, Mn atoms are bonded only through a diphenylditellurium bridge to form substantially shortened Mn-Te bonds (2.486(2) Å) and an elongated Te-Te bond (2.884(2) Å).
