Abstract
The paramagnetic mononuclear cyclopentadienylnitrosopentasulfide complex CpMn(NO)S5 and the formally biradical diamagnetic binuclear cyclopentadienylnitrosodisulfide complex [CpMn(NO)(S2)]2 were synthesized as a result of treatment of [CpMn(CO)(NO)]2 with an excess of elemental sulfur in boiling tetrahydrofuran. The diamagnetic complex CpMn(NO)(S2CNEt2) containing a manganese atom in a similar ligand environment was obtained by the interaction of [CpMn(CO) 2(NO)]PF6 with sodium diethyldithiocarbamate. The structure of the synthesized complexes was solved by X-ray crystallography.
