Abstract
1. Acetyl(triethylgermyl)carbene, which is formed by the decomposition of triethylgermyldiazoacetone over copper, is selectively inserted at the Ge-Hg bond of bis(triethylgermyl)mercury and the Ge-H bond of triethylgermane. 2. A new method was proposed for the synthesis of bis-metalated acetic acid esters, which is based on the reactions of carboalkoxy(triethylgermyl)carbenes with triethylsilane and its Ge and Sn analogs.
