Abstract

A variety of 2-arylbenzothiazole derivatives were synthesized by the reaction of 2-aminobenzenethiol with substituted benzaldehydes in the presence of activated carbon and molecular oxygen system followed by Suzuki-Miyaura coupling using 2-phenylimidazole-PdCl 2 complex.
