Abstract

The aim of the present paper is to introduce two different versions of tensor products of functional models and apply them to the study of the Sylvester equation. We generalize the classical matrix Sylvester equation to a polynomial Sylvester equation and proceed to rederive some classical results. We end by applying our method to problems of model reduction.
