Abstract

Isobarlc vapor-liquid equilibrium was measured for the system n-butanol–sec-butanol–tert-butanol at 760 mm Hg with a Dvorak-Boublik recirculation still. Liquid activity coefficients were evaluated for the three components and correlated with a Redlich-Kister type equation. Vapor composition and boiling points were correlated from binary and ternary data and showed good agreement with the experimental information.
