Abstract
1. New fulvalenes - the symmetrical tetramethyldibenzotetrathiafulvalene and the asymmetric ethylenedithiadiheterafulvalenes -were obtained by dimerization of 1,3-dithiol-2-thiones by the action of trimethyl phosphite. 2. New asymmetric ethylenedithiodimethyltetrathiafulvalene was obtained by dimerization of 2-ethylthio-1,3-dithiolium salts.
