Abstract

Constitutive equations were derived for the viscoelastic response of glassy polymers at isothermal uniaxial loading. The stress-strain relations were applied to fit observations in short-term creep tests for polycarbonate in the sub-Tg region. Good agreement was obtained between experimental data and results of numerical simulation.
