Abstract

The mutation eu in the flour beetle Tribolium castaneum, causes an easily detectable morphological change in the larva and the pupa. The character shows incomplete penetrance at 30°C and almost full penetrance at 25°C. Penetrance at 30°C appears to be partly under genetic control.
