Abstract
The paper describes the 2007 BELMAS Conference that took place at the Wokefield Park Centre, near Reading, Berkshire, and reviews the 47 works that were presented, on the assumption that the findings may extend our understanding of the scholarship and currents of thought and study in the field of educational management in general, and that in the UK in particular. While the Conference was studded with a wide variety of areas of research interest, nevertheless leadership-related topics received major attention compared to other areas of interest in the field. In addition, the paper provides the reader with authorship patterns, types of papers and methodological details. It concludes by critically discussing some implications for BELMAS and suggesting some improvements for future conferences.
