Abstract
HISTORIANS OF AFRICA have long perceived World War II as a major watershed in the history of the continent. It is only recently, though, that historians of World War II have begun to see the importance of inte-grating Africa into the history of the war and that of the Holocaust. This volume is part of the academic attempt to examine the effects of this world conflict beyond the regions that were at the center of the events.
