Abstract
Considered is the influence of the magnetic field of thermalized electrons of a high-current beam on energy release distribution in an aluminium target. The Monte Carlo method was used for calculating this field. The dependence of energy release distribution in a metal target on current and electron beam radius if found. It is shown that the thermalized electron beam density depends weakly on the substance electric conductivity and that thermalized electron current is opposite to beam current. The fact leads to decreasing the electron beam magnetic field. It is shown too that thermalized electron current effect on the energy release is substantial only at high currents of electron beam. At currents <104A the effect is negligible.
