Abstract

The M2 widths and M2/E1 mixing ratios in transitions of the form 1^-1 → 2⁺ from nuclear levels at about 7 MeV excitation in ⁷⁴Ge, ¹⁰⁰Mo, ¹¹²Cd and ¹⁸⁶W have been measured. The M2 widths are found to be about the same average magnitude as the M2 widths in nuclei with A < 40.
