Abstract

The objective of this note is to reevaluate the terminus post quem for the concept of Sabbath as the last day of the week and the day of rest. Until now scholars based their evaluation of the problem on biblical material exclusively. In this note I use extrabiblical material that was not used previously and that allows for a new evaluation of the problem.
