Abstract

The ^17,18O (d, p) reactions were studied at a deuteron bombarding energy of 5.55 MeV. A spin and parity of 3⁺ was assigned to the 5.37 MeV level in ¹⁸O by comparing the intensity of its corresponding proton group with that leading to the 1/2⁺ state at 1.47 MeV in ¹⁹O.
