Abstract

The theory of a real (mixing) cascade operating with constant cut number and without losses is developed. The steady-state distribution of the isotope concentrations in every stage, the value function, the form factor, the equilibrium time and the number of stages for a desired enriched product in the low concentration range are calculated. The results of the calculations for this real cascade are compared with the corresponding results for the ideal cascade. In the design of a real cascade the concept of a 'quasi-ideal' cascade, corresponding to the ideal one, is introduced.
