Abstract
Adapting sociobiological concepts to human behavior, we define the new concept of Human Survival Potential. The concept enables us to understand the ultimate causes for competitive and aggressive behavior, leading naturally to a definition of aggression. We argue that the elements of aggression are: Human Survival Potential, Norms, and Provocation. The same three elements also constitute group aggression.
