Abstract
New wave models for a bubble vapour-liquid medium and methods to specify interphase heat transfer are suggested. The evolution of vapour bubbles in a pressure wave and the connection of the wave structure and dynamics with this evolution have been studied. A wide range of experiments have been conducted to investigate the structure and dynamics of pressure waves. New results for solving the basic model equations for waves in a vapour-liquid medium are also presented and these solutions are compared with the experimental data obtained.
