Abstract

This book is about Avishai Ehrlich, his life's work in political sociology, his contribution to the field of sociology in Israel and his role as a public intellectual. The chapters include some of his articles, commentaries on his work and his public activism, and personal experiences and memories of Avishai as teacher and friend.The book will appeal to sociologists in general, particularly those whose interests include the Middle East conflict, Arab-Israeli relations and the various socio-political contexts within which the State of Israel evolves.
