Abstract
1. The parameters of the bivariant equilibria in the Mo-Fe-O-H system have been calculated, and the limiting concentrations of molybdenum and iron in the solid solutions have been determined. 2. Experiments on the coreduction kinetics of MoO3 and Fe2O3 have established that the beneficial effect of the presence of iron on the reduction of molybdenum is linked with the catalytic-action of iron on the process as well as with thermodynamic factors.
