Abstract

1. The parameters of the bivariant equilibria in the Mo-Fe-O-H system have been calculated, and the limiting concentrations of molybdenum and iron in the solid solutions have been determined. 2. Experiments on the coreduction kinetics of MoO₃ and Fe₂O₃ have established that the beneficial effect of the presence of iron on the reduction of molybdenum is linked with the catalytic-action of iron on the process as well as with thermodynamic factors.
