Abstract

Total vapour pressures were measured between 25-45°C in the methyl diphenyl phosphate-hexane system and between 25-75°C in the methyl diphenyl phosphate-water system. From the obtained data, the activity coefficients and the excess free energies of mixing were calculated. Both systems show strong positive deviations from ideal behaviour, which are sufficient to produce phase separation.
