Abstract
We study the ordering thermodynamics in metastable TiSi(B32) phase as well as the pressure dependence of thermodynamic functions describing the stability of this phase. Our calculations are performed with the effective mixing potential, which was obtained previously in the modelling of the TiSi(B2) phase. It is shown that the B32 phase can exist only at high pressures. Existence of this phase in Ti-Si systems may be explained only by kinetic reasons and an additional confirmation is that the system is far from the thermodynamic equilibrium.
