Abstract

Thickness of thermal and velocity boundary layers was studied on a mobile surface of a hypothetical solid sphere. The surface velocity of the sphere was introduced as a parameter. A relationship of thickness ratio - Prandtl number, ε{lunate} ≃ Pr- 1 3 was obtained for the forward part of the sphere in the range Pr = 2-10.
