Abstract
Reviews the reasons for the slowing down, and even cessation, of trends towards the removal of the more obvious disparities between industrial activity in the central part and periphery of Israel, which had been so much a feature of the late 1960s, and the policy for the dispersal of manufacturing under the Law for the Encouragement of Capital Investment. The principles which guided the planners have provided only temporary palliatives in tackling the problems of unemployment. -J.Sheail
