Abstract
Conventional separation techniques are efficient for coarse particle classification (screens) and for fine particles (air classifiers) but with particles 10 to 100 microns, environmental and efficiency problems arise. Additional problems involve requirements for sorting between particles of different shape or density. These and other problems call for a new separation technology.
