Abstract
Tritium levels in groundwater sources in Israel are generally very low. Exceptions were found in some karst springs and in a basaltic fractured aquifer. An age analysis of the Jordan River sources showed the presence of a seasonal component with water ages of less than 5 years and a base flow whose tritium ages were in excess of 10 years. The tritium record in the precipitation from 1958-1971 is also presented.
