Abstract
We report the first extension of Intracavity Laser Absorption Spectroscopy to the ultraviolet, made possible by a Ce-doped gain medium. The effectiveness of the technique is demonstrated by measurements on three important species in combustion and atmospheric chemistry: formaldehyde, sulfur dioxide, and hydroxyl radical.
