    Abstract

In 1987 a retrospective analysis was performed of 116 patients with carcinoma of the prostate localized to the pelvis who were treated by radiotherapy at the Northern Israel Oncology Center during the period between 1977 and 1982. It was shown that definitive external beam irradiation is an effective, simple, and easy treatment modality for localized prostatic cancer [1].
