Abstract

This article considers an analytical method of studying machine wear, called the simulation modelling method. This method is based on the mathematical simulation of displacements, and it permits a considerable increase in the number of parameters that can be allowed for and therefore improves the accuracy of calculations in the study of the wear of components and assemblies with reeciprocating frictional pair elements. It is a computer based method. An example of a machine tool slideway is considered in detail. (V.B.D.)
