Abstract

A fast neutron detector (E_n>3 MeV) was constructed by covering a Ge(Li) diode with teflon [(CF₂)_n] and detecting the 6. 131 MeV γ line of ¹⁶N obtained from the ¹⁹F(n, α) reaction. Possible uses of this detector are given.
