Abstract

A fast neutron detector (En>3 MeV) was constructed by covering a Ge(Li) diode with teflon [(CF2)n] and detecting the 6. 131 MeV γ line of 16N obtained from the 19F(n, α) reaction. Possible uses of this detector are given.
