Abstract
Most models of optical radiation propagation through turbulent media are based on the assumption that turbulence is of Komogorov's type. In the present report we demonstrate that in a real atmosphere turbulence can differ from Kolmogorov's model. In addition, principal optical characteristics of non-Kolmogorov media are computed for purely helical non-Kolmogorov turbulence, and are different from those for Kolmogorov turbulence.
