Vapor-liquid equilibrium of aqueous crown ether solutions

Abstract

The activity of water in crown ether solutions has been obtained at 298,313 and 333 K over a wide range of concentrations. A minimum in the activity coefficient of water is observed. The minimum becomes more pronounced with decreasing temperature.
