Abstract
Larvae of fresh water fish use their optical sense for finding prey. The perception of the taste of nutrient takes place during the ingestion. Trout prefer salty to a neutral taste, in contrast to carp. The reaction of eel to a salty taste is strongly influenced by the food's aroma.-from Sport Fishery Abstracts
