Pulse-wave ultrasonic modulation  of scattcrecl lascr lighl in turbid media has been used to mark the ohservecl volume up to the depth of several cm. This technique, called Ullrasound Tagging of Light , is applied for reflected light in vitro to investigate, espccially vvith the a i m to measure non invasively the hemoglobin concentration, oxygen Saturation in blood etc. in large blood vessels (e.g. A. carotis interna, V. lugulans interna, A. pulmonalis).
