Abstract

A constitutive model was derived for the viscoelastic and viscoplastic behaviors of glassy polymers at uniaxial loading with small strains. Constitutive equations were developed which contain a relatively small number of adjustable parameters. Fair agreement was demonstrated between results of numerical simulation and experimental data for PMMA in the sub-Tg region.
