Abstract

The ionic conduction instability based on a finite wavelength selection model for a strong electrolyte was studied. The nonequilibrium electro-osmosis caused the ionic conductance instability through a diffusion layer at a charge selective solid of a strong electrolyte. The study inferred the outer asymptotic limit of the perturbed ionic transport situation.
