Abstract

Wildlife management is the science of manipulating wild populations to achieve a specific goal. Goals include sustained yields while maintaining the integrity of the harvested populations, increasing survival probability of endangered populations, managing ecosystems, and controlling the overabundant and pest populations. Key advancements in the past decade were in the realm of population assessment, focusing on density, survival, and viability.
